Chris Brook and AWI did a fantastic job constructing our upper wooden deck and lower stone patio, including a new hot tub and fire pit in Trailside/Arrowhead. Chris was exceptionally professional and helped us in getting the necessary permits, walking us through the process and keeping us informed of the progress on a constant basis. Due to the location of our house on the mountain, there were serious challenges getting approvals from the county and HOA as well as getting the equipment in place with limited access to our property. Chris and Dave not only worked through and overcame all challenges, but finished the project ahead of schedule and under budget. We could not be more pleased with AWI's work. Their attention to detail, flexibility in working with us from afar and in a different time zone (we live in Germany) and dedication to the project and timeline absolutely exceed our expectations. AWI Custom Construction Company and owner Chris Brook did an extensive remodel and addition to our house in the Vail Valley during the spring and summer of 2015. The project lasted six months and was finished on schedule. In short, the job was done in a very professional manner. On a scale of one to ten, it was definitely a ten. AWI employs skilled workers who did a first class job. Their subcontractors were also excellent. I found that they really cared about the project as well as our needs. AWI began as an interior trim company and has grown into a general contractor. The quality of their work really shows. AWI completed a remodel of my condominium in Bachelor Gulch. AWI kept me informed with weekly itemized list of completed items, kept me involved and completed everything professionally. Chris Brook and the AWI team have done an outstanding job on our Golden Peak remodel. They installed new floors, repainted the entire interior, rebuilt the fireplace (cladding it with stone) and built some custom wood interior pieces, including cabinets and bunk beds. Chris Brook and the AWI team did an exceptional job on our McCoy Peak remodel. They remodeled the kitchen and bathrooms, repainted the entire interior, refinished the hardwood floors and rebuilt the fireplace as well custom cabinets. Their craftsmanship was fantastic, there were always solutions to problems and the communication was better than with close friends.
It was important for us to find a contractor with superior craftsmanship and with a total commitment to client service. We found all of these attributes in AWI. Throughout the process, their dedication to the project insured that the renovations were completed on time, within budget and to the standard of execution expected. The project included coordinating with the H.O.A., our interior decorator, ordering of all necessary materials and comprehensive project management. We executed this remodel from distance which is a testament to AWI management.
Our project, as all projects do, encountered several unanticipated issues requiring AWI's immediate attention. We found the ability to communicate and strategize with Chris critical to the resolution process and to be truly collaborative.
I will use AWI for any future work we do and highly recommend them to anyone.
